Steve Beigbeder has been hired by Deloitte Consulting to perform a WC claim file suit of a major Third Party Administrator in their New Jersey Regional Office. Robert Lynch concluded the City of Vallejo project with a comprehensive presentation to the City Council.

Robert Lynch has been engaged as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a Transit Safety procedure and data reporting analysis for King County Metro in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Lynch will participate as part of a team comprising of Terracon Inc. and Shelter Island Risk.

North Shore Risk has been selected by the California City of Vallejo for the performance of a comprehensive workers’ compensation program operational and financial assessment, a five year retrospective Third Party Administrator claims audit, and for conducting a regional ten city workers’ compensation program benchmarking study.

Deloitte Consulting LLP has retained the professional consulting services of NSRC President Michael Koss and Vice President Steve Beigbeder as their workers’ compensation Subject Matter Experts for the State of Rhode Island Department of Labor, Division of Workers’ Compensation, Business Process Re-engineering project and for the financial, system and operational performance audit of their internal claims center servicing 14,000 State employees.

November 2015

 

Robert Lynch attended the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability convention in Las Vegas. June 2015: North Shore Risk Consulting was accepted by Hanover Stone Partners as Risk and Claims Management resource and added to their Participating Partners list.

A leading international Facilities/engineering support firm selected NSRC for a multi-state TPA and insurance carrier claim file audit with emphasis on regulatory/contractual compliance, litigation management, case management and subrogation and recoveries.

 

January 2013:

 

A worldwide Audit/Enterprise Risk Services consulting firm selected a NSRC principal to collaborate on a national WC benchmarking project for a US independent mail services agency.

 

A worldwide Audit/Enterprise Risk Services consulting firm selected a NSRC principal to partner on a TPA RFP selection process for a Mid-Western State Workers’ Compensation Division.

Steve Beigbeder attended the Florida WC Conference in Orlando Florida.  NSRC has been hired by a leading Diagnostic Testing Network (DTN) to assist in business development in the northeast.

 

July, 2012:

 

North Shore Risk was retained by the Maine Bureau of Insurance to conduct a reserve adequacy audit of selected self-insured trusts within the state

 

June 2012:

 

Robert Lynch attended the National Council of Self-Insurers annual meeting in Key Biscayne, Florida.  All three principals were appointed to the Advisory Board of a National Medical Services/Consultant company.  Michael Koss and Bob Lynch conducted a presentation on New York State Ignition Interlock program to the Albany Claim Conference.

 

April, 2012

 

The principals of NSRC attended the 2012 RIMS convention located in Philadelphia.  Robert Lynch will be attending the annual meeting of the National council of Self-insureds in June 2012.

 

March, 2012:

 

Robert Lynch attended the Certified Business Resilience Auditor training conducted by BRCCI and successfully passed the accreditation test.  He has earning the CBRA professional designation.

 

Robert Lynch also attended the NAPEO Risk Management conference in Tampa, Florida.

 

NSRC was selected by the 8th largest school district in the United States to conduct a comprehensive Risk Management audit and evaluation project.

 

David Hanson was selected by a major RMIS provider in the New York City-Metropolitan area to perform an end-to-end evaluation of their new claims administration hosted package.  He started work on this project this month.

 

February, 2012:

 

NSRC commenced a major data-reporting project concerning ignition interlock program data for a large county in downstate New York, with a contract that is scheduled to run for 3-5 years.

 

November 2011:

 

The three principals of NSRC attended the National WC Show and Expo in Las Vegas.

 

August 2011:

 

Michael Koss conducted a comprehensive audit of the self-insured WC program of a large county in upstate New York.  The full, 27-page report was presented later that month to the county legislature, county executives and the county General Counsel.  This was the first ever WC program audit conducted for this county.

 

July 2011:

 

Robert Lynch attended the SAWCA (Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators) in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Robert also completed the IRMI Cyber threat protection seminar conducted in San Francisco on July 20-21.

 

June 2011:

 

A technology firm in the Albany NY area retained NSRC to provide Subject Matter Expertise in an RFP involving a major policy-billing project.  Michael Koss, Steve Beigbeder and Robert lynch are attending the AASCIF conference in Charleston, SC during the third week of June.

 

May 2011:

 

Robert Lynch attended the National Council of Self-Insurers annual meeting in Las Vegas.  Another major technology firm in the New York City metropolitan area also retained NSRC to provide Subject Matter Expertise in their insurance technology vertical start-up.

 

April 2011:

 

The principals of NSRC attended the Annual RIMS conference in Vancouver, British Columbia.  NSRC was also selected by a major domestic insurance company to perform the claims audits for their 160+ client base.

 

March 2011:

 

North Shore Risk Consulting has been engaged by a major technology company in the New York City metropolitan area to assist in product sales and project implementation in the their insurance technology practice

 

January 2011:

 

Mike Koss and Steve Beigbeder were selected by Deloitte Consulting to conduct a multi-week on-site audit of a major state WC Insurance fund in the northwest, which was successfully concluded in February 2011

 

December 2010:

Both Mike Koss and Bob Lynch attended the New York Claim Association annual meeting and Gala at the Harvard Club in New York City on December 12th. Both were reinstalled to the Board of Directors of the Association for another annual term.

November 2010:

 

Steve Beigbeder has joined North Shore Risk as a Principal of the firm.

 

Robert Lynch, Michael Koss and Steve Beigbeder participated in the 9th Annual National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference in Las Vegas from November 9th through 12th.

 

North Shore Risk has been retained by a leading National Medical Cost Containment and Medical Evaluation company to provide product quality control and client relation services to improve contract relations.

 

 

October 2010:

 

Michael Koss attended the Property and Casualty Insurance Association annual conference from October 24 through 27th in Colorado Springs.

 

September 2010:

Mike Koss and Bob Lynch were invited to present an instructional session on Claims and organizational audits at the 13th Annual Users’ conference for INFORM Applications in Hauppauge NY.

 

Bob Lynch attended the NAMIC convention in San Diego, California from September 19th through 23rd..  Mike Koss attended the IAIABC conference in Los Angeles from September 18th through September 23rd.

 

August 2010:

A major national IME firm retained North Shore Risk on a short-term engagement for service in relation to IME services provided to NYS Liquidation Bureau.

 

 

July 2010:

A national subrogation firm retained North Shore Risk to advise and investigate addition business growth opportunities in the areas of subrogation and Health Insurance Matching Plan (HIMP) nationwide.

 

Mike Koss attended the AASCIF convention in Lexington KY.

 

June 2010:

A major international consulting firm has engaged North Shore Risk to provide a wide-range of insurance consulting services to a major Mercedes-Benz dealership, including but not limited to an assessment of their current Property and Casualty portfolio of coverages and their company-sponsored health coverage for all employees.  North Shore Risk was able to provide additional insurance cover for less money through a intensive market research and competitive bidding process managed by North Shore Risk personnel.  A comprehensive risk assessment review is being negotiated for future implementation.

A major international medical records retrieval organization hired North Shore Risk to provide one day in-house training for its staff in the area of Workers’ Compensation claims, the first of several planned training sessions for their staff at Hauppauge New York.

A national claims organization retained North Shore to prepare a response to an RFP from the City of Houston for claims audit services and participated in the onsite presentation.


 

May 2010:

Bob Lynch and Mike Koss attended and presented at the National Council of Self-Insurers annual meeting in St. Petersburg, FL.
